For a second time, a T2 wine receives recognition for Best in Class - this time for our 2022 Dieter's Blend: Double Gold, Best in Class, 96 points from the 2026 Savor NW Wine Competition. Before it was our 2019 Roussanne-Viognier-Marsanne, 2020 WA Wine Awards. This is the third award for our Dieter's since we started entering this wine in awards in 2024, the second for the '22 vintage (Silver in 2025 Seattle Wine Awards, bottled just 6 months before that). This is special for us because Dieter's is a single-vineyard blend from Jim Jamison's 2-acre "private vineyard". There are a number of these kind of vineyards in Washington, but Jim's vineyard is a couple notches above. Jim has been a grower since the '80's, starting with cherries, planting grapes in 1982. Jim was a nuclear engineer at Hanford after a career in the navy aboard nuclear submarines. He brought this experience and a family history in farming, establishing this fine vineyard on a beautiful site. He is also behind one of Washington's premier young grower/winemakers, encouraging Seth Kitzke to grow grapes in the plot next to his vineyard. The Jamison Vineyard site is truly special, with different aspects and ancient soils beyond the scouring effect of the Bretz Floods; a breezy saddle that sits above Richland on the flanks of Candy Mountain.
